T50 gearbox

hey guys, since i got AJPS rebuild kit and put it in two days ago,
i noticed its hard to put the gearbox into 1st, and if i clutch in i can hear a whineing noise in 1st but no other gears
can someone tell me what i can do about this.. if its something serious im over this car.

I dont know much about t50's but it may be overselecting, causing it to be in contact with another component causing the whine

or it could just be you whining.

might sound stupid but did u clean the bushes seat before u put them in? if theres a bit of grubby crap in there it might effect the lever of the shift and therefore make it hard/whiney when in a particular gear.

yeah was clean before i put them in, seems to go in 1st fine when im sitting in one spot but if i just try hold clutch in and put it in 1st to hear whine or if im going from 2nd to first rolling along to a stop i have to force it in... guess im gna have to lay off 1st till i know exact problem

yeah that post helps... queer.
i said that it has only been happening since i put ajps shifter rebuild kit in,
thought maybe someone has gone trhough this, i doubt the kit started
the whineing noise but the 1st gear is hard as fk to put in u have to force it.

doesn't his kit use a harder bush? It's possible that your jsut hearing more noises through there because of the bush being harder, an I think your 1st gear synchro is fucked and was proabbly like that before the rebuild

i to am suffering from the same problem. only i have this problem once the engine is warm. when its cold it selects gears fine. but as soon as its at operating temps i can barly get it into first. even when i pump the clutch it wont go in.

i have been told it could be a number of things. such as the synchro is fucked. im useing the wrong oil. and that i might need a re build kit..

mines the opposite, only happens first day u start up the car really, and my dad just double clutches from 2nd to 1st and goes in fine, he said may be cause the rebuild kit is actually working properly now and T50 1st gear may be straight cut gear and rest are different.

hmm i just put the same kit in..and its perfectly fine....

though you cant select first unless your completely stopped (or very close too)
