awwww do i at least get partial credit???

also if you have an early? (maybe late...) jap 4age loom, they dont actually have a diagnostic box as such. its just this little round yellow plug with a yellow cap, which i think has "DIAG"? on it i think. its only got 2 pins in the top. i have have one of these in my car, i looked for the diagnostic box (as hao has got a nice picture up there) but turns out this is yellow one. twas near the firewall in my car, but its a bit of a hack job, but wont be hard to find.

if u have a hunt in your idle u will need to first check the manifold for leaks turn the car on then get your hand over the throttle body if the engine wants to pull ur hand through the throttle body then there is no leaks but if your engine still runs and you can hear a whistle then you have yourself a vacume leak also another thing to check there is a little hole inside the throttle body itself cover that with your finger if your car stops hunting its the cold start water thing fix it by plugging that hole up also do not touch your tps there is no need unless some1 has changed it before

hope this helps has in the past for me many times
    the dyno pull to 300rwkw

BT20v is making 300rwkw like i said i would without nitrous so now its time for some spray and see if she will run a 10s or less

Does anyone on here with a 4age conversion even have their cold start hooked up?

I just bought my first ae86 no issues apart from having to warm it up in the morning.

mine is all hooked up but there is a few miss conceptions about e cold start itself and the cold idle feature that's where the water lines come into play they fuck up all the time but the cold start injector if has been wired up correctly will work every time

when it was at the mechanic and he saw the wiring and the vacum lines plugged off, he shook his head lol.

he said the stalling issue might have something to do with the spped sensor? and may not be able to be fixed? i hope this isnt the case although he is an awesome rep for a mechanic.

id love to get it all hooked up properly 1 day

pen15 you hook your cold start up yours self?

    Some crazy/pedantic people do.

If you want an electronic version of the cold start idle up, you can get something that does the same thing off a CA18. After start enrichment will work as long as a the start wire is wired up to the ECU.

Back to the problem, I doubt it's the speed sensor. Everyone with a 4age in a KE70 doesn't have the speed sensor hooked up minus the very few exceptions.

Doubt it's an airleak as they're mostly *there*, not idle speed variation.

Please prove me wrong by strapping it to a dyno, unless you have a wideband handy. Hang on, just pinch the return line and see if the idle cleans up.

ok so the idle isnt really pissing me off that much its the stalling!

after it stalls and i start it again it doesnt like to stay on, i have to keep the revs up for atleast 10 seconds otherwise it stalls again

what do you use the diag plug? some kind of cable that connects to a lap top??

    cheers
