Tuesday: Not alot done today. Dad cut and buffed some of the car where he could. We slapped the old hatch on for now cause he painted that, rear bar is on and most of it is back together. bar a few lil things like seats, wiring, tailshaft and cooling system. I spent a lil time on the turbo mainfold tonight. It was coated in rust and corrosion so i spent a bit of time rubbing it back with some 'wet n dry' and then slapped her on the buffing wheel. Came up ok, Im sure if i spent up to 4 hours on it i could make it amazing for Autosalon. But fuck it.. Still waiting on bits and the weekend....

This car reminds me of that one ^^

Going to look fucking outright thug dude. Are you going to keep running 225's for traction with the SR? What kind of power are you going to aim for? Sorry if I've missed anything.

Well im not running the 225’s they are not my wheels they are a mates set. I was just testing fitting cause I have something else in the works for the rig in the coming months.

At this stage im sticking with the superlights 15x8’s cause they are cheap and I don’t care about them a great deal.

It should have around 200kw. Maybe more. From the looks of it I’ll be runnig 1 bar.. (Matty!)

My drivetrain will be fine I hve a hilux diff with a mini spool it can more power then it will have. The only work point should be 3rd gear, but it being a lighter car then a S15 it should be ok. Then again if I pop some gears I will be either replacing with a 5 speed or rebuilding the 6 speed with a nismo gear set, replacing 2nd, 3rd and 4th

Work is slowing down a bit until the weekend. Still waiting on some of my new FRP stuff and repaired items to come back from the FRP guy then they can be painted and the rest of the car can go back together. HOPING to get a start on the wiring, cooling and Dump pipe this weekend.

I reckon depending on the track you would see alot of 4th gear and some 5th gear.

Well thats what it will have on the back MAYBE. I want to test the 8's see how they go first.

I dont want to upset The balance of the car to much, yer I know.. to late you’ve slapped a SR in there. But my dad and I worked real hard to get the SR as close as possible to where the 4a would sit, yer its not right on the mark but we got it pretty close. So by increasing the size of the wheels to much it might just over do it.

Maybe im over thinking but id rather over think as its cheaper than buying rims that might work against me.

But in saying that im in the process of looking at the 15x9.5 and 15x9 R type Watanabes
