1975 KE35 Corolla Hardtop
Fresh paint 2008, new windscreen rubbers, rust free shell (aside from one bit in the firewall)
Alloy roll cage – no CAMS log book
Toyota 1.6L 2TG Twin Cam engine with twin Weber 40’s. Dyno tuned at 67kw at the rear wheels. Previous owner said it had TRD grind cams in it, but this has not been verified.
Alternator freshly rebuilt
Electronic ignition fitted since engine bay photo taken
T50 Celica/Corona 5 speed gearbox
T-series Celica/Corona Diff – diff centre is locked and is in good condition, axles have new wheel bearings
Front suspension – Koni Yellow adjustable shocks - newly serviced. Corona RT132 struts converted to adjustable platform coil-over springs. 325lb springs. Cusco adjustable camber tops.Sway bar.
Rear suspension – leaf spring, Koni Red adjustable shocks.
Front Brakes - RT132 Sumitomo twin spot front calipers, Ferodo DS3000 pads near new, Peugeot ventilated rotors
Rear Brakes – Corona/Celica drums
Upgraded Pajero 15/16 Master Cylinder
Wheels – near new 15x7 Performance Superlites.
Tyres – 205/50/15 A048 Fronts, one event old. 225/50/15 A048 Rears – plenty of life.
Velo seat
ERG 6 point harness – dated 2013
SAAS Steering wheel and gear knob
Cusco strut brace
A few spares come with it including the standard Toyota EFI inlet manifold, spare grille, spare welded diff centre, worn A032 tyres and some other bits and pieces.
Good fun little car that has been very reliable competing in Sprints and Hillclimbs. My best times in it are Phillip Island 2.07, Sandown 1.37, Winton 1.49 and PI Hillclimb 1.12. Someone who knew what they were doing on something other than hand me down tyres would probably be able to go much faster!
Only selling it as something else I always wanted to own has come up. I will miss the Racing Rolla!

Used to get run in the Australian Rally Championship. 800kgs. 1.6L 92kw stock. Close ratio gearbox. LSD. Recaros. Nardi wheel. 4 wheel discs. Should be pretty similar in performance to the Corolla standard, but has the beauty of EFI, road rego, and a more modern car making parts sourcing mostly easier. Sounds horn when you are up her too.
I want to branch out from just doing hill climb and sprints and do a little tarmac rally stuff, and the Corolla was just going to be too hard to bring up to spec without just being a complete money pit.
Hopefully the Charade won't be quite the money pit
