Or you could do it properly, work out how much longer/shorter it needs to be and take it to a cable place, get it done. For the sake of $50 odd, why not do it how it should be done?

not kp61, ive never seen one in aus, but if i do...i would prolly buy it.

the one you want is EP91 starlet, little front wheel drive girls car (1993ish?). loads at the wreckers. and its a really good fit. helped a mate put one in his 86, direct fit.

however, i just got a standard ke70 cable, and cut a section of the plastic stuff out, and shortened the cable. then used the part i cut out and taped it around where i cut it. the join of the plastic outer peices. hard to explain. sorta used it as a "splint" to keep the cable straight where it was joined.

should i have got the EP91 cable? yep much easier. am i a tight-ass? yep!

just for interest sake i used the standard ke70 for a while, but it kept binding up and the accelerator pedal was uber hard to push. with the shortened cable its still a little tough to push compared to the ep91 cable, but its definately a good improvement.
