It was the first time that I did all of the work myself though, and I learnt a lot with that car. (luckily no one can take that away!)
I probably put about 3 or 4 grand into it on top of the purchase price so in that way it was thousands (at the time I was a pov uni bum also so it hit pretty hard), but you get over it.
What did they take from your house? I really hate pricks that do that sort of shit...

The paint is ok.. its original which isn't bad but could do with a freshen up... The cars are mint here actually, once they're no good they ship them overseas but if they can possibly sell them in Japan they will do. Of course some of the ones that they sell to Aus are very good but they get a good price for good nick ones here.
I saw quite a few quite clean examples for over 20K when I was looking around... most expensive was around 40K!!
Popped down my local wheel shop this weekend to pick up some rims and tyres:

This wheel shop was awesome, although it was mostly wheels they also had ae86 coilovers, cages, aftermarket seat rails etc in stock.
