check your valves ,spin them in a drill to see if they are straight
the bottom end ,check for scoring on the mains and bigends .and gee chris you are having a bad run
Oh yeah, this is the one photo i forgot to post last night:
Ow.

Yeah. Rest of the engine will be out this afternoon. Will do the usual checks on everything. And yes, definitely bad run.
Engine is out now, doesnt seem to be any significant damage to the bottom end. Still its all going to get torn down for a check.
At this stage im probably going to build a stock internals engine for the next round. Its on in two weeks, and im away for 3 days in that period. Seems like it would be the only thing that i could turn around in that time.
if you need some replacement parts, there is a 4age at upullit south
just chuck a 2nd hand head on your bottom end for the next event ? there wont be anything wrong with the bottom end from smashing valves and cams.. just pull the oil pan off and clean out any bits of metal if they made it down that far.. the old valves will more than likely be bent
There isnt much point in that other than possibly damaging the new bottom end. With stock cams i wont be able to take advantage of the higher CR of the new engine, and so i may as well chuck a stock engine in which at least i can get a rough tune for.
So it appears that the bottom end is still ok.
TK will be pulling down the head to check everything, but fingers crossed its fine.
Plan is for Kelfords to ship over some new cams post haste and hopefully be here in time for me to refit the head to the engine and off for a dyno tune next Thursday before Friday practice and race on Saturday.
man that is heart breaking. i hope whatever cam caps you end up using work ok.. fingers crossed for ya.

Well, not racing on the weekend. No cams from Kelfords means no engine reassembled, means no racing.
Ohwell.
