alot of the older cars with big engines were registered and engineered back in a time when the rta and other government bodies weren't such pricks..... times have changed, so those big engined cars aren't relevant....
unfotunately, the national codes of practice (NCOP) for vehicle modification does not apply to NSW and possibly other states (yet)...
According to the NCOP (where it applies) the sprinter can have an N/A engine x4 CC and x2.75 CC for F/I.
In NSW (possibly elsewhere), N/A is x3 and F/I is 2.5.
So for everyone stating otherwise, please stop with the misinformation....

just a note, in NSW, we can put larger in cars in the 1100kg+ bracket though.... which is the only reason i'm hoping the NCOP doesn't come into efffect anytime soon as i want to finish my damn supra project.....
And after it comes in, my trueno may see a 1mzfe built for revs......
