You can use the tubes, or you can just turn the threaded rack end in its socket to adjust. Both are adjustable on car.
hey guys
i picked up some tie rod ends today from repco, ra40 ones.
i remebered from my old ae71 i had RA40 front suspension set up.
the tie rods i had in my ae71 where like 'on-car' adjustable style. (they were listed as outer tierod)
so i bought that style tierod end.
then i looked at the 86 and it as like a 'off-car' adjustable style tierod end. (this style tierod was listed as an inner tierod.)
my question is can you still buy those little tube parts new that make the tierod end 'on-car' adjustable?
or am i better off just going back down to rapeco and swapping them with the 'off-car' adjustable tierod ends?
ok help.

Get the tubes from the wreckers, any ra40, xt130, ke30 will have them.
all tierods are adjustable you just can get more adjustment from tubes
