    I so wanna put a VQ35DE in a corolla. Maybe even VG30.

Pretty sure you can get a V6 corolla handling as good as a 4a corolla for drifting. Probably not for racing but it's just total lateral load transfer distribution and static weights. Will increase polar moment of inertia but whatever, it's just drifting.

Look at all the V8 S13/S14/FC/FD's in America, they seem to do well enough. Noone complains about them and they do it for reliability/cheap shit (except for when they fuck it up not doing the usual road racing mods.)

yeah but they have money spent around the motor, and the ls1 isnt that heavy, and its in a slightly heavier shell.

v6 commo weighs a fair bit, fitted one into a hiace, not my most fav engine by a long way.

You're still increasing weight distribution toward the front and the cars do fine is what I'm trying to say. All they need is to check the bearing clearances, put in a ls6 oil pump and a road race baffle, and a cam if they want more power.

the buick motor's are awesome for cheap power and interchangability. just because it's pushrod and old tek doesnt mean it doesnt work. I've seen this motors run on their side and even upside down for short periods of time and come back wanting more. Nothing like a motor that makes ok power and torque and costs $500 max to replace. (and you get a free car with it) There is also huge aftermarket support for them, makes the info and aftermarket gear for the 4age look like a drop in the ocean.

As long as he realises it will mess up the balance of his car.
As long as he doesnt butcher the firewall and destroy another shell.
As long as he realises there is minimal support for the conversion as far as tech info goes.
As long as he realises it will cost money and ALOT of time.
As long as he gets out there and drives it and show's up you haters.
As long as he knows there is almost certainly better options to get the same power and better handling out of his car.

I can't see a problem... Get out of your purist box and support something that is most likely going to end up in the trader as another unfinished project, but may suprise you and end up out there ripping skids with the best of them.. At worst it will be a fun car to take to burnout comps.
