    Confirmed. T18 = zenki.

If your kouki axles are double row bearings, they won't fit into a zenki housing. Double check bearing ID but I would expect that they'd be the same so you should be able to swap bearings to zenki style.

Disc brakes off a JDM diff will not bolt up to a previously drum brake diff housing. You'll find the mounting holes are different. The axles don't play a part on the fitting of the brakes other than you'll need the correct bearing retainer plate to match the diff housing.

You could get your brakes redrilled, but you'd probably be better off selling them and buying a set of corona brakes.

5 stud hubs?! The pcd is the same between kouki and zenki axles (4 x 114.3).

as above t18 are zenki .

oh yeah also ... is the diff you have a disk or drum brake style ? i

need more info on the disk brake and 5stud hub ? do you mean you have a disk brake setup ?

ae86 - sorry, my bad. i wasnt reading your reply correctly . i see what you mean . and it is a good idea .. would love to see what you come up with ..

how much more strength would you gain ? and also how if the axles are made stronger then the weak point of the diff will only be transfered to a different part of the diff. like the saying goes .. a chain is only as strong as its weakest point .

    Hi

All this has really got me lost

T18 is a T series and has 23.8 ( 24mm) splined axles. Same spline as a JDM AE86 Zenki Diff

Kouki & Zenki AE86 JDM Disc Brake Housings are interchangeable. IE you can put either Zenki (23.8mm) axles or Kouki (24.8mm ) axles into either but it depends on what centre you have be it a Zenki 23.8 or Kouki 24.8.

JDM T series Kouki & Zenki Axles both run a twin roller Bearing setup.

JDM Drum T Series run a single row bearing similar to the ADM T18 but have 24.8mm splinned axles.

ADM Drum T Series Drum (T18 etc) have a single row bearing and have 23.8mm splined axles.

Hope i haven't confused you any more now ???

    Cheers

I have both the 23.8 Zenki JDM Axles and 24.8 Kouki JDMm twin roller Axles available.
