Wont work anyways, the stock signal dont work on the speco gauge or any others for that matter.
Those after market sendors are usually designed for oil cooler adapters etc.
Hey guys does anyone know if I can use a factory oil pressure sender (or a smaller off the shelf supercheap auto etc item) with a Speco electric oil pressure gauge?
the sender it came with is massive and it wont fit with my set-up... Its in the way of the oil cooler lines when on the block and to fat to fit on the sandwhich plate...
Only other option is the get some kind of 90' degree fitting that will fit the sandwich plate and mount it above the oil filter in the same orientation as the filter...
If such a fitting can be had from somewhere?
I'm just concerned that it may not have enough strength in it if mounted like that?
any ideas?
Cheers
Niz

how'd you sort this man?? im in the same boat, speco guages but i dont think the oil pressure and temp are gonna fit side by side in my relocation plate..?
Hey man, Pirtek hooked me up with a steel 90 degree elbow... works a treat.
Pretty confident it wont cause any issues, haven't had the chance to drive the car yet....

yeah pirtek are the way to go, just take both senders down and ask them for an adapter from this to this.. will cost you no more then 5 bux, done it twice before
is the elbow made of brass?
normally the way to solve this problem is to use a mechanical gauge. It's not sothing that I like the idea of though

Pretty sure its made of steel, but it has a brass like appearance... not 100% sure. Its a solid fitting though.

Brass commonly cracks, ive had one do it before on my car.
I now use a braided line to a junction block on the inner guard.
