4k high reving issuses

use -daily/factory area whore

problem -i used to be able to clutch kick to 6+ 6.5k before but now all i get is it bouncing off 6k

occurs/started when - some time last week, wasnt slipping out as easy/much

personal situation - its realy emo n shit that i dont have enuff power for snakies and flicks in the dry... (cuts self )

the car is how old? and the engine has done how many k's?

dont get a rolla expecting it to rev happy when you thrash it, most of the rollas people pick up are grandma or wrecker spec so the engines are usually fairly dirty, poorly loked after etc.

do youself a favour and get some carby cleaner 1st. check the points, plugs, dizzy. if the carby is tryin to suck air through oil your not goin to get far. and if there no spark then theres no revs.

give the car a decent once over, clean it up and you'll be laughing. FYI i used to drift a 4k ke70 in the dry.

time for new valve springs son... old, flogged out and maybe even one or two broken ones.

As resol said a good service will help, but if it's bouncing lower and lower then springs and seats would be my first port of call

mine revs to that thats with out and exaust lol haha na check ya leads and all that does anyone no what it cost to get new points put in ?

dan, was sliding in the dry 2 weeks ago with out power drama's as this is not a wet/dry transition issue , will give it a once over. might get new plugs just to test it out too.

points are about 20-30 bux all up, mite have 2 splice the wiring as sometimes all u get is the generic type brands/connection plugs

don't take it as gospel, thats just in my personal experience. take your rocker cover off and inspect... if your driving the car as hard as you say big chance you've broken a couple. especially if they are stock

could drift gatty in the dry though. that's with clinton driving too.

haha is this clints of car?

yeh can vouch for it if the eng has recently dropped power then 1st check for loose things/blockages in th carb etc.
