Default xt130 struts and heavy steering

does any1 else have this issue? i do have the standard castor rod maxed out but i dont beleive that is causing the steering to be unusually hard. i was thinking the difference in weight between the struts might cause it

im using an ae86 rack in a ke70 with xt130 struts with a coilover kit and standard steering arms, and the tyres are 195/60/14 with about -2 camber from the xt130 control arms

    It shouldn't be heavy.

I ran XT130 struts, XT130 LCAs, AE86 PS steering arms and maxed castor in an otherwise stock AE86 and the steering was fine.

Have you only changed struts since the steering was ok? Some more info and a little more punctuation would help too.

i only noticed it after i did all the front end work and got a wheel alignment, new bushes and ball joints and all the xt130 gear. the wheel alignment settings were something like, 3.something castor (maxed), about 2mm toe out total and -2 degrees camber. i lost the printout so i dont know the other details.
on a slipper surface the steering goes easy so it seems as tho its an alignment, not something seized. also the rear of the car is abit higher than the front, any other ideas would be great,

if all of what you said is exact id suggest either the lame issue of a wayyy to small steering wheel , or the possibility that your rack is rooted.

either way if your in vic wing rund to ADM and we will be able to help work out whats going on

what did you go from suspension wise? if it was stock dont be suprised that steering is now harder.

it sounds like everything will be adding to heavy steering. lower ride height, harder springs contribute to heavy steering.

his car isnt as low as mine and its spring rates arnt as hard either. he is running some fairly light 14' rims on the front as well
the ae86 steering rack he is using is from his old ae86 that had a front on but seemed perfectly fine when we were sussing it out right before installing it
