OK so I have a set of wheels sorted for my daily but need to figure out what to do tyre wise
the wheels I have bought are 13x5.5 +38, and currently have 185/70R13 which is obviously way to large.
standard tyres are 145/70R12
From the info given what size tyre would you recommend?
I was thinking 155/60R13 which I know is slightly smaller. every tyre shop I have been to thus far are unable to source them
Thanks in advance, Ben.

AJPS.
far out theres some weird sized tyres in that list konakid.
145 wide? hardly worth even buying something decent!
to the original poster, can you get some wider wheels off another car?
my mate put 185/60? on his 13x5.5. they are semi slicks, look alright. bit bulgy though. but its an rx7 so it looks ok.

165 65 13 i got on 5.5 they are straight edge i would love to find some 155 60
there is some mad size tyre on there im going to do some research and se what i can get in SA
search every wreckers for 13inch spacer savers, rip the tyre off them, or go to a place that sells drag tyres, the fronts are what you want![]()
Gah I wish you could quote multiple posts on here
Henry - I've been sussing the small tyre guide for ages
Dave - I have got wider wheels from another car. did you read my post?
standard wheels = 12x4 with 145/70R12
New wheels = 13x5.5 +38 VW Mk1 rims
185/60 is way too large
Not really after stretch, would be near impossible with 5.5J. just need a really small tyre around the same rolling diameter as standard
155/65? I know I can get some
I'll take some pics to show how large these 185/70's are
+1
totally too small for a KE55.
try Bob Janes if its round and black they can get them. seen a set they got in for an early model citroen something weird like 16" dia and the tread area was about 75 mm wide, thought they were front runners.
