Car - Toyota Carina TA63

motor - Gen1 3SGE

use - Stubby holder

problem - Wont crank fast enough to register on adaptronic

occurs/started when - the big bang happened

personal situation - long story but bare with me.

3sge with w55, stock flywheel,2sc starter and dual row spigot bearing. Engine has been rebuilt with fairly tight clearances. Turns ok by hand tho.

Starter circuit goes like this, big cable to battery terminal, push button to solenoid cos i cant figure out the original starter circuit. Its about as basic as shepherds pie.

Now when i go to crank it, the stupid thing only turns like 90* degrees. Push the button again itll turn another 90* and so on. Its starting to shit me, ive added another ground wire to the bellhousing, power came from a running motor (13.5v according to the adapt) and now im lost.

Are the solenoid contacts fecked?
Supply wire borked?
Does the starter/flywheel teeth need machining?

Will try a differnt supply wire tomorow. Does anyone else have any ideas?
