Sorry but my MSQ won't work for you. I'm using VEMS, the .ini files are completely different. We're just using Megatune for older firmwares, the VEMS guys are working on their own software called Vemstune.
Well, I stumbled across some thread that said that Taka Aono, a well known AE86 enthusiast here in California (also competing in Formula D with a Turboe's Formula Atlantic motor!), went up to 40 degrees of advance at higher rpm, full load! Anyways, I bumped timing up to 35 degrees and the car feels noticeably stronger!
OK, major question:
Does anyone know why the timing drops off as revs increase? I read about belt slack causing timing to retard when using the OEM CAS on a 20V, and I seemed to notice it...by about 4500 rpm, my timing gun was showing that I lost about 5 degrees of timing! Maybe that's why my car responded well when I bumped up the timing a fair amount.
Can anyone help explain what causes this phenomenon? That should mean cam timing changes by that much as well, right??
If you don't mind sending it through I just wanted to have a look at the settings you've used to compare them against my current set up. I've currently got my timing running up to a smidge over 35 degrees.

OK, I think I heard ping at higher rpm, and it seemed like the power dropped off at above 7K. I had 37 deg. of advance, assuming the belt lag would pull 5 degrees from the number. Regardless it was too much.
