wouldnt the ecu control the amount of fuel delivery ? despite the injector size .
try servicing the injectors and changing fuel filter. whats the timing like ?

not quite unfortunately
the ecu has a preset injector timing. and its done in milliseconds of opening time. so the easiest way to think about it is the following.
imagine you have 2 pipes. each with a valve in it. the first pipe is small. and the second pipe is big. now there is the same amount of pressure behind each valve. now you connect them both to your ecu. and it tells them to open for 10milliseconds each. which one will let through the most fuel?
thats how it works with injectors. size wise anyway.
the other thing to consider is the impedance. now this i dont totally understand. but some injectors come with little resistor pack to counter this. but if you get this wrong, then the ecu will see a different impedance/resistance and it wont do what it wants.....etc.
