What the fuck, I can't believe I posted that car in my own thread.

    Big day today!

Picked up some stoneguard painty stuff to do my underbody. I had the car on the hoist last week to clean all the debris off in preparation for this. Big, smelly, messy job. I didn't want to get overspray / little flecks of airborne paint on my bodywork, so I made my own little Dexter style kill room / booth with dropsheets

Several hours later I had done the majority of the underbody (firewall back). Finished in satin black, as the stoneguard is actually porous, so you have to give it a coat of paint to seal it. Exports finest.

This was all I was planning to do, however I found a small patch of surface rust on one of the chassis rails. Nothing the wire wheel couldn't fix, but it was in a shitty spot as I had to grind off some of my shiny white paint. I decided the best solution to this, instead of putting the car on a trailer, getting it touched up and then bringing it home was to simply stoneguard underneath my chassis rails and mask off a small (8mm) section on the side and stoneguard that too, so they're kind of two-tone chassis rails, but you can barely tell.

It could have worked out ALOT worse.

Personally I think it looks quite good.

Anyway, enough for today. Got the diff back yesterday also, hopefully I can put it in and not have to take it out again.

yeah that looks good, better than i was thinking. The final coat of paint must seal the deal (pardon the pun)

Looks nice, gives a good contrast there, plus if you were to put any chrome-work under there, i expect the black would really make it really stand out. Not to mention with that protection under there you wont be afraid to actually drive the car

xZ10 Soarer wheels to clear regency / engineering. Then Superlight 15x8. Then save my life away and Hayashis.

    UPDATES!

I'm making headway on my wiring harness, but I needed my ECU pinouts. All the published documentation was incorrect for my ECU, so I opened it up to get them off the PCB

But, as some already know, I opened it up to find this:

    Fuckin' Dunked.

Prognosis by electronics whiz brother is it'll be ok, looks like it wasn't switched on when it went under so it's just corrosion. No blown caps, no shorts, no burn marks. So long as the chips are fine, it'll live again.

    After some cleaning:

I was also stuck waiting for Pirtek to finish my 8mm / 5/8" fuel line, so, chalk another one up for 'things I didn't have to do but did anyway because i'm waiting on stuff'

New foam on the tank straps

Ready to drop in with new foam pads

    Fuel and brake lines in

Tank in and all plumbed up. Neatest EFI conversion you ever saw.

Drilled and tapped holes for the brake softlines

    Fruits of todays efforts

And then somehow I got roped into looking at my brothers g/f's car, so it went outside for the first time in a long time.

This weeks focus is wiring and going full retard on this -

    That is all.
