What the fuck, I can't believe I posted that car in my own thread.
Big day today!
Picked up some stoneguard painty stuff to do my underbody. I had the car on the hoist last week to clean all the debris off in preparation for this. Big, smelly, messy job. I didn't want to get overspray / little flecks of airborne paint on my bodywork, so I made my own little Dexter style kill room / booth with dropsheets
Several hours later I had done the majority of the underbody (firewall back). Finished in satin black, as the stoneguard is actually porous, so you have to give it a coat of paint to seal it. Exports finest.
This was all I was planning to do, however I found a small patch of surface rust on one of the chassis rails. Nothing the wire wheel couldn't fix, but it was in a shitty spot as I had to grind off some of my shiny white paint. I decided the best solution to this, instead of putting the car on a trailer, getting it touched up and then bringing it home was to simply stoneguard underneath my chassis rails and mask off a small (8mm) section on the side and stoneguard that too, so they're kind of two-tone chassis rails, but you can barely tell.
It could have worked out ALOT worse.
Personally I think it looks quite good.
Anyway, enough for today. Got the diff back yesterday also, hopefully I can put it in and not have to take it out again.
