Is this what I want for BiG bANg?
I am thinking about going a cdi ignition setup, as a few mates have made good power gains with it.
Just wondering If anyone knows of cheaper units that will work with an ems 4424 and quad bosch coils?
Ems sells a unit, but at $1100.
What do you guys recomend??

I cringe every time I see their URL. haha
Why do you want CDI? Are you blowing out spark? What are the plugs gapped to? Coils are wired to sequential/waste/single coil+dizzy?
Whats wrong with these guys? There not the same as the guys who make the stinger you know?
I'm running an ems 4 ch ignitor, suposedly sequential but I have a feeling its still running wasted, and now that one of the drivers fried itself, its time for a replacment or upgrade.
Also its a Cas + 4 bocsh coils
Plus spark was blowing out at higher rpm. Gapped at .88, then .6 and still had troubles.
And like I said before, there is a bit of power to be gained with ignition

I have read many times of AEM electronics not working properly. Their wideband never works properly and the standalone has damaged or blown up a few motors. I haven't read anything about the CDI unit though.
I think you fried the 4ch ignitor because you are running in waste spark? Try the bosch 211 ignitor, it's for running 4 coils with only 2 ignition outputs. I dunno why that's relevant.
What's the dwell time set to?
Wasted spark shouldn't make a difference with a 4ch. it just means it switching 2 drivers at once. Can't remember why, but read somewhere that with the cas you can't run full sequential anyway.
i'll check the bosch unit out.....
You can do full sequential.
You have 4 ignition outputs or two?
Got 4.
I could be wrong....
Do any of the bocsh igniters have a tacho output, and could you give me a link to them....? With prices...????
Cheers

What do you mean by tacho output?
5v square wave or voltage spike?
And the answer to your question is no. but there's an easy way around it.
