Hi guys,
It looks like i will be taking delivery of a mint mx83 cressida soon so my much loved Datsun Stanza is up for sale!
For sale: 1982 GX Datsun Stanza
Location: Ballina- Northern NSW 2478
Asking Price: $5000
Killometer's: Chassis is bout 170xxxk but motor would be bout 100xxxk
Manual or Automatic transmission: 5 Speed Manual- s13 box.
Engine Type: sr20de from an s13
Condition: Overall condition is pretty good. Body is straight. Motor and driveline is in really good condition!
The metallic paint is showing it's age a little (it has some character i rekon)
Rust is very minimal. the rust that is there could be fixed in half a day..it's seriously quite good. none of it is structural. Interior is mint!..it's actually really comfy, the seats sit nice and low and feel really comfy.
Modifications:
Engine Mods- Standard Motor, uses stanza mounts etc. really easy physical conversion.
S14 ECU (eliminates the speed cut), I had it rewired bout 6 months ago because it was popping ECU's and it's all good now! Have a spare ECU too.
Hurricane extractors and a 2.5" exhaust with two mufflers. I have intentionally set the system up so it sounds and looks like a datsun exhaust!..it has a smooth good note to it and does not sound like your normal fart box sr20 pulsars and s13.
Pod Filter
Always serviced.
Suspension:
Front end- R31 brakes, control arms, and struts modified to suit the stanza. Custom made springs(not sure on the rates, not super stiff, it's set up for grip), Monroe gas shocks. Redrilled tops for camber adjustments. Big arse sway bar. Obviously these parts are meant for a much heavier car so are quite tuff for this car.
Rear: R31 brakes and diff, customer springs (not to stiff), munroe gas shocks, custom 4-link system, watts linkage set-up from a falcon. upgraded sway bar. It is a custom set-up and works really really well.
Wheels: R31 wheels with good tread. Suit the car well. i think they are like 15x6.5 +30 or something like that. The r31 gear gives it more track. so the guards are fill a little better.
Driveline:
s13 G/box.
R31 28 spline diff. rebuild about a year ago and has a 2-way KAAZ LSD fitted. the rebuild and diff cost just under $2000. It works so well.
Interior-:
Boot has been fitted with a floor. Battering in the boot with cover. Kill switch inside. Pink gear knob. Steering wheel. otherwise pretty standard but very clean.
Complianced/Engineered: ENGINEERED FOR EVERYTHING!
Road Worth Certificate: yes
Registration: Rego in NSW till April next year.
Crash History: Nothing major. the front right guard has a few dints but thats bout it. New front indicators just put on last week too due to shopping trolley smashing one. Overall one of the straightest you will find.
Other Comment's about the vehicle:
I have owned the car for over 2 years now and it has been the most epicly fun car. I have taken it to a few hillclimbs and it is more than capable of taking trophies with the right set of tyres.
The motor is one of those gems that just seems to go harder than the rest. It pulls really really well. Similar to a 20 valve in a keto but with a little more torque. It goes extremely well. If you wanna cut a skid the KAAZ will do it very well. Locks up hard.
The car was set up as a grip car so thats what it does best really. Upgrade the spring rates etc and it will be a drifter.
As far as a street car goes this is great. I have left the standard R31 wheels there so i don't have cop issues. They do suit the car and i have been pulled over a few times the cop looks at the wheels, notices that they are standard and leaves me alone...never had one issue at all.
It is really something different and yeah the paint is a little old but when you drive this thing and feel it grip up around the corners you will freak out...it is most definitley a drivers car.
***I will be getting the new car in around a week so i can not let it go until then***
