    Default The Bush Bitch

This is the story of my ae71, affectionately known as the "Bush Bitch". Dad bought it years ago for $400 so we had a manual car my sister could learn to drive around the farm in. Its now 100% paddock spec and is unlikely to ever see the road again.

At times I'm tempted to do something with it, but everything on it is pretty far gone now, so doubt that will happen. Maybe if I move back to SEQ and have more time to play with it... For now it spends most of the year wedged between two trees so my dad can't easily tow it away to the dump! Now and then it gets started up and used for a bit of paddock drifting, rounding up cattle or taking the dogs down to the dam for swim.

Car: 1984 Toyota Corolla CS-X. Stardust grey.
    Engine: Stock 4ac.

    Mods:

    - Front and rear bumpers removed. Custom "bullbar" made from old bits of pipe (used for ramming gates, termite nests, stumps etc).

    - Steel studded snow/rally tyres on the front - enable it to steer very well off road. Second pair go on the rear for driving on wet clay with almost 4wd-like ability.

    - Custom spraycan "autosalon style" interior. Amazingly, the black painted dash looks really good considering I did no surface preparation. No peeling after years of being left out in the weather. Rear seat removed and replaced with boogy boards!

    - And at times features a flyscreen grill to keep grass seeds out of radiator

    Plans:

    - Roofrack to carry kayaks.
    - Waterski pole on the rear to tow ski tubes across the dam.
    - Thrash it till it explodes. Fix it then thrash it more.

    Pics!

Parked between the trees so it can't be towed and dumped!

    Autosalon spec interior

The black dash is a real pussy magnet (bitches love it too!)

Rear seat removed to get in more pussy

Rear seat replaced with boogy boards - lightweight and multifunctional! (Ignore the other piece of shit in the background)

The holy engine. Has resurrected itself more times than Jesus. After some enthusiastic driving, several times it has died (not enough power to move, massive smoke clouds, glowing metal chunks flying out the exhuast). Left to its own devices hower, it has always come good again!

    What it does to tyres!

    Definitely burning something!

When a rock caves in your sump, a new one can easily be crafted from aluminium foil!

And when the old farm ute breaks down, the versatile ae71 is always ready to step in and lend a hand!

Anyway, its been a great car. We've treated it terribly for many years and it just keeps on going. Hope I've horrified half of you and made the rest of you laugh!

After sitting for 6momths and with no oil or water, this thing started up first time without any problems. A quick refil of liquids saw us cutting sick in the paddock in no time. Truely an inspiring car...

Next on the list is a locker, turbo, side exhaust and some cut springs... we'll show those cows how to drift yet!

Actually a roll cage wouldnt go astray either... came awfuly close to tipping this thing while sliding down hill.

Hahaha, that's cool. Certainly does look like a shitload of fun. Bring on the locked diff and ghetto turbo setup!

    YEEEEEWWWW! Another one!

Love your work there man, keep it up.
But I think you're still carrying too much weight..... See my video link below for a suggestion if you like...........

And definitely lock that diff, so much more fun......

Lol I've seen your toyota Toy-yoda - its insane! The quad bike of ke70's. We've tried jumps in ours, but when the radiator support hits the ground, its really painful for both car and driver.

At one stage I had it stripped right down to just a drivers seat. Didn't go to the extent of removing the doors and boot though. It was still very light and the rear end was very twitchy.

Locked diff would be handy for a number of reasons and is probably more likely than some of the other suggestions. Certainly would have helped in the situation below!

    Got wheel articulation?

post this up on a 4wd forum :p haha
but it pisses me off when people assume your hooning cos your car is loud, has bald tires, a roll cage, fresh bake and dinted bumpers!!
Or driving in a wolf pack.
