DONT GET 15'S
that is all
looking at getting myself a new set of equips, just wondering if someone can tell me the difference in the different 'disk' styles of rim and how it affects offset etc.
for example, is a 15x7 -3 in an 'A disk' only 3mm more positive offset to a 15x7 -6 in an 'O disk' style rim?
some help would be appreciated
when i ask the equip dealer regarding the difference of the A disk and the O disk, O disk got more clearence for bigger brake conversion, and to look more deep dish for the lips
but not sure on the T disk, don't think i've heard about it
just wanna see how it looks like on my 86
i know its not an excellent suggestions, but i was told like that, hope that can help you

"The Disk type represents how much lip there is. R Disk has the smallest lip, it also has the greatest amount of caliper clearance. A Disk is the middle (also called Standard) and O Disk has the deepest lip with minimal caliper clearance."
that was taken from some NSX forums in relation to work wheels in general.
not sure where the 'T' comes into things, or for that matter the 'R' in that excerpt, but it gives an indication.
i got the 0 disc. wich means there is pretty much no step at the rear face of the wheel. wich means not much luck clearing brake calipers that do not sit flush with the standard hub.
like the rx7 calipers, you would need a spacer to clear the caliper.
not sure how much more clearance the A disc would give. but as far as i know they are more designed for front wheel drive cars.
basicly you are keeping similar offset but trading dish for spacing at the back. pretty much the same as running a spacer.
i would get the 0 disc, and if you need a small spacer do that.
with my pug brake conversion i needed a 3mm spacer to clear the caliper.
so its just a built in spacer that they dont machine off
I tried Huw's Equip 03 15x8.5 -22 (A Disk/Standard) over my RX7/EG6 brakes, and compared to SSR Formula Mesh 15x8.5 -21 which needed a 12mm spacer to clear the caliper, Equips only needed 6mm slip on to clear them.
Also as the Equips center is sandwiched between the rims, the lips already 1/2" deeper then the SSR just because the Mesh is bolted in from the front. If you went to O Disk/Deep Rim would have even more lippage.
come in A and O Disk while are A or R Disk (O Disk is 4x100 only & T Disk is 5x114 only) The R Disk/Big Brake Meisters in 15x7 +0 or 15x7.5 -6 would be my pick for clearance and still a fat lip.

disk type doesn't affect the offset in relation to where the wheels sit, just the brake clearance.
it does however change the perceived amount of dish.
I didn't know there was a difference.
I just said give me these (15x8.5-22 and 15x9-18), heres $3000, gimme gimme gimme.
Needed 8mm spacers to clear rx7 discs though.....(01's)
