you know veyrons appreciated as soon as they came out, they cost way more to make than they were sold for, he could make more money selling it casually, its not like hes going to get a brand new replacement and get the old car back for 5 quid.

have you ever been in a super car? its not all about the fact its faster then 99% cars on the road, its the rarety, the fact they are hand made, each one is built to the chasis and the drivetrain. each car would have its own identity and personality.
you cant compare a super car to a GTR, im sorry but you cant. the GTR has an ugly interior, poorely aligned panels and for the money i'd still buy porsche. with super cars its all about the name, or whose got the best, rarest, fastest, prettiest, loudest etc. yes a lot of owners would be knobs but thats the point...they have a better car then everyone else they will meet in their life, and that helps them sleep. but god i want one!

Character and performance are two different things. Do you seriously think we'd all be in love with 70's, 80's and some 90's Toyota's purely because of their performance?
If I were a perfectionist looking at a Veyron from an engineering point of view I'd be absolutely blown away, but I'm not. Supercars like the Veyron are pretty much a status thing and that's not what I'm about, so to me they aren't all that appealing.
Give me a z10 Soarer and a workshop over a Veyron anyday.

736 killowat is not exactly a big achievement either especially from an 8 litre engine.
fair sure a hotted up GTR would pawn it around a track anyday for a tenth of the cost and not look like some anal probe space ship while doing so.
