    Default Shipping parts from overseas

I've ordered a willwood brake kit from T3 in the US, and i'm not sure whether or not it will be charged import duty when it arrives in the country, does anyone know what the maximum value of a product can be before it incurrs tax?

also how long does it take on average for something to get here via airfreight from peoples past experiences?

under my previous experience, anything under $1000 should not incur a tax.

items from the US should be be here within 7-8 days via USPS. thats bout airfreight service

Andy, over the years I have bought heaps from overseas, UK, USA and lots from Japan, from Japan usually couple of days to hit Aus, then f*ckin ages for morons at Austpost to work out where you live!! From USA about 5-7days, UK about the same, I have never paid any duty on anything, even when actual price has been declared etc.

i ordered the bits a couple of weeks ago and i'm getting edgy as i think they might have been retained my customs as the value is over $1000, i know T3 are pretty reliable with shipping but i need to have the brakes fitted by next week for the private practice!

i've had them sent to me before, they just put a note in the actual box and you just go inside and pick it up. (the actual post office is pretty small as it's only local)
