Hey All,
Been trying to figure out how to plumb in a front mount intercooler on a 4AGZE?!?
Currently it has the stock top mount and all plumbing for it, thing is that most of this plumbing is cast large parts that aint very flexable as far as seting up with a front mount.
Can you get front mount kits that have parts that will point in a general forward direction?
If anyone has a supercharged 4AGZE in their AE86 post a pic or 2 how you have plumbed intercoolers in, im just not sure how the hell im goin to do it when looking at where the stock pipes are directed (i know i could just redirect them but i want it looking neat as possible)
Cheers!

...ummm your photos didnt work for me...your horn dont work too good...
its edited and all fixed. try again.
works fine for me.
todd, i gather the inlet and outlet on that cooler are seperated internally in the end tank?
where did you get that one from and boost level please?
many thanks![]()
ok 4 of em working now...at least its giving me an idea...sorta
yeah there is an internal divide between the two entry/exit points so it uses the furthest/most efficient route to cool ze air.
got it from just jap believe it or not. works well, never had a problem with it.
280x300x90 or something from memory. trying to keep the core size/pipework and small as really necessary to maintain response from the SC and keep a steady idle.
on a good night im getting 12psi through the cooler.![]()
with 175mm pulley on the crank?
cant remember the size exactly, but its not standardsorry cant help u there haha
you will need to make a new manifold for the sc pointing towards the front of the car, then make you own custom piping. dont use any of the standard piping as it will just look tacky.
you can just see the sc piping pointing forward
then threw the intercooler and back up over the motor to the inlet
those are the only pics i have to explain it sorry.
as todd said keep the piping to 2 inch and as short as posible. and dont put a huge intercooler as this also will create a huge flat spot.
has any one ever looked into a ba falcon intercooler? i think they have the inlet and outlet on the same side? might be a good option
