    Default handbrake cables.. jdm/adm

hey quick question im sure its been covered before but

changed from adm drum brake to a complete jdm diff with disc brake..

the handbrake cables came on the new diff assembly and were fitted to the car but the short bit of cable from the handbrake lever seems to be too long ?? is the lever or cable different length from adm drum to jdm disc ?

    anyone else had this problem

Yep, the short bit is shorter on the disc setup. The handbrake lever itself is also different, but only slightly, don't worry about that.

You just want the shorter short cable.
46410-12140 for the new item, maybe $60 and 3 weeks

But I am told the cable from a SV11 Camry works well.

the 2 longer bits stretch the most..

most ofter with handbrake type brake calipers the little screw/nut thing inside the caliper sieze or bind up.. need pulling apart and cleaning out

hmm maybe cable mate shop ?

its best to check that the little lever segments on the calipers them selves ( the bit the cable hooks into) it should be hard against the stop with the handbrake off its it not the the cable is adjusted up too tight, and it will never work correctly

handbrake calipers dont work the best at the best of times anyway
