Josh, if you don't mind me asking, what competitions are you aiming to compete in with the latest beastie? Last I heard, DA were changing rules that you couldn't touch firewall/trans tunnel/wheel arches? Not that they count for much anymore since they downsized to a one-round "series" this year... Or did they relax those rules? Possibly just doing less restrictive events and having fun doing QLD based stuff inc QLD events and just fun track days instead of actual competition?

Not slamming you or anything, just want to know what grade your building to.

something interesting too is that with a larger rolling diameter, there is the possibility that tyre life could be a bit longer, cause if you think about it, if the tyre is 30% bigger, than a 15 or something, for one full revolution of a 15, is only 70% of a revolution of a 17, that means that the tyres tread, touches the ground 30% less.

well, i simply want WAY more speed on fast track stuff. the old car was pretty damn unstoppable on short track stuff, but fell behind when you got up to the top of 4th gear and into 5th as it simply had too little rubber on the road....

simons right DA = FAIL in my opinion,

they,ve had the not tubs/firewall rule 'coming' since mid 2007 when i first asked about the 1uz and firewall. i was told then not to do it, but i was never banned, either was bolger, or the autosalon car, or numerous other top level cars with tubs/firewall mods....

i dont really care, its my car for my fun, and im pretty sure ive stated before, i enjoy building as much as driving, its just something differant, thats all.

just beause its never been done DOES NOT mean that it will work, but i sure as hell am enjoying the trying..

if it gets ruled out of comps because of its construction, it'll always make a tuff sports sedan or hillclimb toy, who cares, and i know its never going to be ruled out as a demo drift car, which is may more fun than comps anyday.....

hopefully it will get longer tyre life as a by product, but i really want more speed and smoke, longer life is a possible, but not a probable bonus. afterall, the new car is aimed at the 300+ rwkw mark....

plus, ive always wanted to build a 'race' car from the ground up, and all previous stages of the last car were always to the get it working and leave it there stage.

this will be a complete, no holes barred build..
