so today was a hard day

painted the bay in vitrethane 2 pack urethane enamel.
this shit is great to work with and is designed to put up with high heat. and has adhesion like nothing else.

    anways pics.

and the 4k is in. so its had a new head gasket and VSS. a good clean and a new rear main oil seal.
also has been mated up to a 5 speed with a near new clutch.

    pics

and here jasol (bmxsexmonkey) big thanks for the help. get this guy started ad he works like a man on a mission.

    yeah it is good.

ran into my first problemo.. someone before me replaced the pcv valve with a breather filter.

and now after a long drive oil is pissing out of the breather ruining my nice clean efforts.

so a note to everyone don't replace the pcv valve its there for a reason..

so thats is now fixed. also sparkplug tubes leaked... so they came out and some new 0 rings were put on.

re did valve clearances. tried to put eleccy dizzy on failed... so returned to stock again.

    and....

my low km gearbox is oh so noisy. i have put 125mm worth of nulon into it so far.. perhaps i need to put more in.

thats about it... oh and my speedo is waaayyy out. i put the 4speed gear in and yeah... it reads 130kph when i'm actually doing 100!!! eek. lol

    thats is all.
    cheers, Luc

Very nice effort so far, top work.

About the door cards. Did you say you used 6mm MDF? and What was the material used to wrap them? Very interested as im wanting to make some new "basic" door cards for my Corona.
