    I like the way your going for bullet proof, its better than changing stuff later.
    I wouldn't skimp on brakes or suspension though.
    That gearbox is huge lol.
    If your gonna hole saw stuff your probably going to need a cage to give some stiffness back, the extra protction wont hurt either. Some extra bracing would be good to deal with the tourque, maybe consider foaming the chassis as a cheap option.
    I would go the 2.5 exhaust so when you start adding more power later, you wont need a new one.
    I look forward to seeing the smile on your face when your driving this.
    Oh, I have some 86 struts and coilover sleaves in WA if you need them. $350 + post.
    All you need is some inserts and springs.

    hahahaah revs? LOL my first one was rev limited to 8500 and sat there all day, thing was the exhaust valves are hollow ( like a dirty SR), and dont like those revs, we dropped one into number 5 cylinder. next engine we limited to 7600 and it was sweetas pie..

    Hell yeah gotta love small V8's they rev, have good torque and don't have the weight of a hefty v8.

    Yeah I've decided I'm selling the wheels off my vz to get hsd coilovers for an s13. I've got the front brakes already just need LCAs.

    Yeah I think I'll go for 2.5. I want loud and low. Lol

    i've always wondered, if you did this conversion could you get away with a log style manifold to make clearing the steering easier???
    i know you'd lose a little bit of grunt but like you say, i don't think you'd notice it

    yeah dunno aye, its mild steel aswell so wouldnt be hard to mod... ill c how bad tha custom manifold turns out lol...
