    just fyi.....

    a guy here on the gold coast, (well brisbane) has a 1uz in his silvia, has had for 3 + years... in n/a form with stock plenum, + extractors + filter + haltech, best he made was 205 RWHP.. he changed to the same 8 itb setup i used on my ae86 and made virtually identical power i made in my ae86, 280 RWHP. This 75 RWHP jump was from the itb setup.....

    he has since sold it, reverted to stock plenum and bolted on a nitrous kit, now makes 307 RWHP.....

    theres also two mx83 cressidas doing the northern NSW drift rounds, both with 1uz's + w58's, and both have stock inlets and STOCK headers, they make identical power of 180- 185 RWHP..

    these are not 'hearsy' figures, but real world numbers....

    expecting 150 RWKW from a stock engine simply wont happen, 130 is closer the mark....

    good luck anyway, as the torque more than makes up for the lowish RWHP figures...

    Thanks Josh, was just going by a rule of thumb 25% drivetrain loss. either way it's more than a 4age without having to work hard.

    From what I've heard you can't run nos at mallala? I hope I've heard wrong tho :-)

    and yeah while I'm at it I'll weld a few seems here and there lol.

    only thing to make sure of is diff gears, if you can get some 3.7's it'll be sweet, or alternately get some 4.5's, youll just be third and forth more than 2nd third. the 6 speed may throw some of my results out though.....

    no offence taken, but what do you think will die? the bulletproof box? the strong motor? the overkill diff?

    only thing that lets this down is the ke70 shell that will house the motor box and diff lol

    but yeah people are entitled to thier own opinions

    i dont know if its the 1uz aspect or what but alot of people seem to dislike it?

    you guys want me to put meshies and quad lights on and a 4age in it? maybe a lip at the front? f series diff? lol

    the other thing is i live in whyalla... resources are limited... no wreckers with t18s or xt130s or anything like that... id be lucky to find a tarago diff here lol... ive seen about 3 AE71s all up... theres one ae86 in town which is off the road at the mo... my mates sr powered ke is the only true drift pig in town... other people throw stockies on vls and think theyre nomuken...

    everything time i get parts i gotta pay freight or get it when i drive to adelaide...

    im not trying to say that the cliche ke70 stuff is no good, im just building with what i can get for good prices...

    ke70 cost me: fuel pressure guage and an old apexi rsm
    1uz: $1500
    T56: $1350
    G-258(i think):$50

    it might sound overboard with the gnarly drivetrain but im not going to be able to kill this thing... so therefore no more searching for parts when i break something...
    and as for fab work, check out lumpys build thread for his ke70 sr20det... he's helping me build this at his house

    guess im just gonna have to get this out to the track to see if it was worth all the effort...

    i like to get the constructive critisizm guys explain your thoughts to me and help me, dont just say will handle shit with falcoon springs...
