yeah i am kinda looking forward to gettinmg stuck in and finding out what happened and working out a plan to fix it, pay for it to be fixed, replace with new bits
wich ever is more likely to end in profit![]()
Hahaha, you need to go on No Talent time one of these days.
VRS kit stands for Valve Regrind Kit. If you get your head reconditioned with a valve regrind etc etc, the engine dude might even sell it to you for cost price. i got mine for something like $40, but thats after a $700 head reco.
Ask around dude, im sure there will be someone out there willing to help you, even if its only sourcing new valves and shit.

if it has chomped a valve it will be 4 valves total plus new seats and weld up the cylinder plus re set tappetts after the head has been put back on and cam timming reset up as well
hopefully you havnt split the bores through either no 2 of 3 which seems to happen
all up about 1500 total if a head guy gets all the parts and puts it back to gether
for got to say hopefully the piston isnt damaged either
pat i have all of the parts here i will just need the size of the piston it will either have 1.2.3.or 4 stamped on the top

so i got enough apart today to CONFIRM that it was totally my own stupidity that did the damage to the engine.
A small metal olive of the back of the blacktop quads got lost down the inlet. I assumed it had been lost to the floor, and replaced it.
An expensive lesson to always check and never get carried away with rushing a job.
Looks like replacement engine bolted in is going to be my cheapest and easiest option considering my current skill levels.
Thanks to some AWESOME offers of help from JUST JDM IMPORTS, ill have a new engine ready to fire up end of Febuary. Till then ill have to be saving and saving, so car will be mothballed for a couple of months.
till then...
stay classy new york...
