ge pat i hope you can handle the cold days there
kinda not really. council wouldnt let me build a shed.... cunts.
so we are selling up and moving to tassie.
i have been too lazy to attempt another engine swap in my driveway, just couldnt face it lol,
so will prolly sell up the ke70 with its new goodies, put the beams in the 86 like always planned, trailer it to the new property in tas and play with it on the roads round there![]()

ge pat i hope you can handle the cold days there
lol...... its going to be interesting the first time i have to g training at subzero
but i get 50 plus km of single track to play with on my mtb and some of the greatest roads i have ever laid eyes on
and im old and fat, so cold is good for me![]()

and 2 race tracks there as well simmons and baskerville and im only 300 klicks up the road on the mainland
so my baby is 99% sold. Im really sad cos it was brought about by circumstances beyond my control, but at the end of the day, there will always be another one.
on a happier note, im getting the oppurtunity to finish her befor she goes on transport. So the last few entries in this will be the "getting ready to roll" section.
Engine and box is in and hooked up. Needs fluids and a check and should be good for startup.
Brakes are being swapped out for standard sr20 s13 brakes. The big brakes were nice, but needed 20mm of spacers to get clearance and this led to massive track issues. As it is now the suspension was working well with the longer lca and relatively high + offset. Very little bump stear and very little tramlining. That would be changed buy the spacers and i wasnt ever really happy with this. Sr brakes get it running, work great and dont leed to the above isssues.
interior will be reassembled to a driveable state. So dash dropped back on, carpet put back down, door trims fitted, whatever left is fitted and seat fitted. I have no passenger seat so that will be left vacant.
rear coilovers from the ke70 will be put back in to the 86 to get her to sydney, then the new buyer is sending them back. So the silver sled will be out of commision for a few weeks.
and thats it. Will start her up and prove she drives, then off she goes
heres hoping when tas is sorted i can get back in one and complete all the crazy plans i had floating round in my head. And i still have my ke70 that im playing with. Some of the money from the sale will go to getting my 7age build under way.....

It feels awesome to do an engine swap and finally see and hear it running. Good effort, mate.
Shame it'll be gone though.![]()
