    Default Hatch release fail.

    Yo!

Has anyone successfully done the nuts back up on the bolts that hold the hatch relase to the body?

I had a look today and it was full of just standing there and WTF-ing.

I swear it is designed so you can't do them back up without cutting the support out.

    HELP ME!!!!!

Hey man, The actual question is how the shit do you hold a nut up in there to start the thread? there is a hole like 20c piece size to get something through, But no chance in hell of starting a nut onto the bolt.

So you're saying that you tacked a bit of wire onto it and use that to hold it in place?

Good idea on tacking some wire to the nuts.

I have done it with fingers in the past, but yes pretty damn frustrating, can just reach in there. And its a pain when you drop them the first few goes.

Reminds me of "Doh....stupid stubby fingers".

    262 locktite all the way.

yep tack wire on, push nut up through the back of the support so it comes up near the back of the hole, place striker plate in spot and turn bolts until they start on the nuts... its tricky

the nuts will hold themselves there enough to be tightened right up
