Theme of the project:
To build the AE86 for the next 10 years. (since 1998)
Continuing upgrades to provide the 10 years with satisfying driving, experience and training for racing.
Favorite aspects of the car:
A car that will punish driving errors but rewards skillful execution.

Apparently he had his license suspended due to these vids being filmed on public roads...
&
You can see why they already called him the Drift King back in 1987! Forgive the thrashed out quality of the vids. No doubt the VHS tapes have been watched a 1000 times before this was hosted! These were some of the original videos to highlight drifting and touge (峠 means mountain pass) runs in Japan.
( have been posted before, but they are imcomplete or have taped over them)

Looked for Best Motoring July 1999 with KT testing Tom's 280T (the inspiration for my IS200), but anyway there are so many more cool vids out there! Will add more as I find them![]()

Fellow 86 addict just posted some great shots from his personal stash, when he was in Japan at the 1999 TAS.
Worth noting that the car wasn't in perfect condition and still needed some refinements. (It had done 80000km's at the projects begining)
