I had ABV mod done and aftermarket ECU so I could keep an eye on when the SC kicked in (it was setup to switch as clsoe to factory as I could make it, based on manifold pressure and a delayed switch off). I could also drive around town without the SC ever switching on.
Sure, maybe the switching lines on the ABV is unnecessary, but from my experience isn't a problem. I've never heard of it causing issues with anyone else either.
