Ha. Let me think.
Did you plug your dizzy back in? Silly question, but start with the basics.

You can have any brew you want... as long as it's a Datsun / Corolla / What is that?
Of course I did...
Like i say, pays to ask the simple questions first.
I'm just working it out in my head -
Seems to have a hard ignition cut at 4000rpm and a developing misfire beforehand (i bet it drives like absolute balls under load)
4000rpm cut seems way too hard to be caused by anything other than the ECU, i suspect it is in 'limp home' mode, but the revs don't pick up quickly after the cut due to what seems to be another ignition related problem.
I take it the engine light is on.
So, next logical question: Why is the ECU spitting the dummy?

Sometimes it does it at like 3k
Could it be the valves?
I didn't have this problem with my old head (on the new engine) as soon as I swap heads it's been doing it. I'm going to swap the valves over today as the old head (on the new engine) look mint.
My old engine (the fucked that was originally in it) would flat line at 4.5k
Looks real good marvis, love it!![]()
Could be just one of them things that goes at the same time as everything else just to make things Harder!
Happens to me all the time!
haha

this things sick, massive props marvis. good job and good luck, hopa ya get your car going good if u havent already got it going. lol.
Did you swap all the sensors, rear water temp sensor and the like over from the New good head to your old head. It's possible the old head has a crazy sensor ?
Would only be cold start/temp sensor.
I changed the TPS and it didn't really make a difference.. I unplug it and it does the same as it does with it in?
