ae82/92 air con compressor on ae86 4age

hey guys

this heat has prompted me to think about the aircon situation in my 86.

i have most of the bits from the 4ac setup.

wondering if an ae82 (orae92) compressor plus mounting bracket will work in rwd config? assuming it will but just wanted to confirm before i dish out some coin for it.

anyone done anything similar?

Learnt the hard way that an AE92 one wont fit, it hits the sway bar. It'll be a similar story with the AE82 one.

Basically, if you don't already have a JDM 4AGE parts you need are:
JDM 4AGE harmonic balancer
JDM Aircon bracket with belt tensioner (the type on cars without power steering)
JDM Aircon compressor

Replace the seals on the fittings in the system, connect it all up, fill it with gas and you then have a complete working aircon system.

That all assumes you have all the aircon parts from the 4AC setup.

That gear cost me about $200 all up, talk to buddy parts, I'd be surprised if he didn't have everything you need.

was out of another ae86 but where it came from before that no idea.
