if you know anything about aerodynamics or the way an aircraft wing works its kinda the same thing, its all about accelerating air into the throat, and the purpose of the flair or curvature on the end of the throat is forthat purpose. the more air you can draw and accelerate into the throat without that air becoming turbulant wins.
