check that inside wheel weights aren't hitting the strut or or anything like that
i got the same problem mine are the bearings in the top of the struts, pulled the bearings out n repacked them but few 100k's later noise started happening again, tried to find some bearings to replace them but can only get genuine toyota ones 200 bucks each! might be able to get other bearings from a bearing shop if i was to take them in but i cant afford to have the keto off the road.
urs may be a different problem though
but yeah as faceplant said check the bushes and uni joints first
cheers
sure you packing them with HTB(high tension bearing) grease other wise the greese just turns to like oil and fucks off
yeah used htb, was all done right old man was a motor mechanic for 20 years so he was there giving a watchful eye hahaha
Re-greasing won't fix a collapsed bearing. Remove strut top, stick finger in bearing and rotate. If it's crunchy as shit, remove, clean, if it's still crunchy, replace.
KE70alex, more information required.
You can have any brew you want... as long as it's a Datsun / Corolla / What is that?
do you have coilovers with standard strut top? if so, its probably the spring hat not seating against the strut top bearing - try putting a spacer in between (washer).
