yes, either that, or the compressor has shit itself and doesnt engage
if you find the charge port, it will be on the back of the compressor, remove the cap. Inside you will see a valve that looks the same as a tyre valve, get a screw driver and press the valve down VERY VERY briefly. if there is no pressure, nothing will happen = no gas.
if there is gas, you will know bout it. DO NOT POSITION YOUR SELF OVER THE VALVE AND LOOK INTO IT WHEN YOU PRESS IT DOWN.
I have seen photos of someone that has done that, the gas froze his eyeball in the socket. no bullshit
if you dont feel confident with what i have said, just leave it and dont mess with the system. a/c can be quite dangerous
