    Default ae86 pedal box

okay so ive found this ae86 clutch pedal and wondering if i also need the ae86 brake pedal to complete the ke70 hydraulic conversion? so will the 86 clutch pedal work in conjunction with ke70 brake pedal?

dont see why it would but wanted to be sure before i started, as ive only seen them sold together i.e. clutch and brake pedal

    cheers

My AE85 clutch setup was a combined clutch and brake assembly. I just installed the AE86 clutch and brake pedals which mount separately. Was easier.

you need to change over the whole pedal box, not just the pedals....

you might be able to get away with just using the clutch part of teh ae86 box, and keeping the standard ke70 box for the brake side of things.

of course you will need to get your angle grinder on the ke70 box and cut all the clutch side of things out. and possibly add in a bit of strengthening after cutting it all out.

it appears you need to do a bit more research on what is required, stick your head under your dash and have a look at what is in a ke70. and if you can do the same for a ae86. then you will understand what you need.

Motorfix do this conversion, it's not as simple as it looks. Welding is required

ive just done this conversion. i would suggest if your not handy with the grinder, welder and drill to try a ae71 pedal box. theres a fair bit of messing around to get parts to fit and work. but good luck if your trying

im also doing the something similar, i much prefer the way the whole 86 pedal assembly sits at your feet, pedals are at a better position and closer together.
so im using all the 86 pedal box and am going to mate it with a Ke70 pedal box so's to get the steering column mount and so on. will require cutting and welding but should be good when done.
just waitng on the doner ke70 pedal box, should be here this week
