Sprinterman knows his shit, and if you ask the right questions you'll get the right answer, top bloke...i mean over 15years with AE86 and 4ages and other #AGE combination in experience, to say he doesn't know shit is pretty bald specially when you have not meet or dealt with him..if that is the case.. have you seen the blood red Trueno his building for his mate sitting in his garage, just the brake setup alone, Brembo off Evo7 i think is the brake setup..most people arent even confident of changing ADM brakes to standard JDm brakes =.='.. no N2 spec but its top quality as a N2, and have you ever seen HIS AE86?...last time ive herd of it was 200kw at the wheels on 20v turbo just sitting in his garage collecting dust cause his to busy fixing everyone else AE86..

    off topic sorry

Blair, did you find that everything bolted up fine? What HG did you use? Were there any other problems?

Only thing that doesnt bolt up properly are the supports on the rear of the motor (brace the motor to gbox? cant remember...) but meh.

Everything else is the same. Used 16v Gasket as everyone i speak to sais to use the one for the HEAD.

No problems man... other thing to note is i have carbs so can adjust accordingly... i'm not sure how a stock bigport ecu would go with the extra compression etc? (anyone running this setup?)

The way i saw it was if i'm gonna spend the $$ on a rebuild.. may aswel spend a couple hundred more and start with a higher compression/7rib/better base

I am surprised that this isn't more common if it was that easy! Thanks for the info. I will definately be doing this with my next bigport. Maybe even go carbs as well.
