IF you do part in man, id be keen on the chrome pieces that run along the roof line as well as the chrome wheel insert things not sure what there called (the ones on the stockies).
Ok long story short.
I work at a wrecking yard, I acquired this here AE71 manual wagon thinking I'd part it out. I've had a really good look at the car and its just too clean to part out, I've yet to find any rust at all.
Its a completely bone stock CS model
Its got a genuine 186,000k's on the clock and runs like a dream
As you can see from these photos is that the only clincher is the front crash damage. The rails are completely undamaged and its all mainly cosmetic. It'll need all the obvious damaged panels replaced and the top of the rad support is a little twisted but will be very easily fixed.
The photos make it look pretty crap, but its absolutely covered with dust, underneath all that dust the paint is in excellent condition.
This is truely a fantastic example of a manual AE71 and will not disappoint. I really don't want to scrap the thing but if I don't get the money I want for it I'll simply take all off the bits which are valuable to me and put the rest in the crusher as I really don't need to have 4 cars when I already own 2 AE71's.
I'm looking for $1000 for the car as is.
I don't really want to dick around and have the thing repaired, but working at a wrecker means I have access to parts cheap and could get the thing fully repaired and a new front sprayed for minimal cost.
PM me if you want a price to have the thing supplied in a fixed state.
It has a sticker on it for March 2011 rego, but it has been cancelled, that said you should only need a pick slip to get it reregistered.
Car is located in Wollongong NSW

hey mate, would you have the parts there to fit an early front to it?pm me if ya want, would be interested if ya do,thanks
At the wrecking yard where I work I'll check the KE70s there and find out for you.
Otherwise I can get the following items new aftermarket:
GRILLE
HEAD LAMP RIM LEFT
HEAD LAMP RIM RIGHT
GUARD LEFT
GUARD RIGHT
BONNET
APRON LOWER
PARK LAMP LEFT
PARK LAMP RIGHT
GUARD REPEATER LEFT/RIGHT
So the only other items are:
Scuttle Panel
Headlights
Front bar
Radiator support
Now there should definitely be a scuttle panel and a rad support but I may not have a bumper or headlamps.
I also know a panel beater quite well and could probably have it all sprayed and fitted for cheap at your cost if you like too.
I'll PM you now anyway.
I've still got the beast here.
For an extra $500 I will supply the following (this is to suit flat front conversion):
New:
HEAD LAMP RIM
HEAD LAMP RIM
LH GUARD
RH GUARD
BONNET
APRON LOWER
Second Hand:
Front bar complete (its in very good condition)
Headlights
Park lights
Guard repeaters
Scuttle panel
Could probably have it ready to drive away for under $2500 with a flat front and the new panels sprayed to match.
is that price with or without rego brother?
Without I'm afraid. The previous owner cancelled the rego before I got it.
Its not long since it was cancelled, should be within the 3 months grace period.
have you got any pics of inside the engine bay? whats the interior like?
The interior is in excellent condition too, just needs a clean (dusty) like the rest of the car.
I'll try get some photos.
Price drop to $1000.
