Where can you get a GOOD A to W adaptor from?

What flywheel do you use? i here the stock 4agze one is good and fits in the bell housing?

    custom clutch?

    te72 slave cylinder?

    custom tail shaft?

    custom gearbox mounts?

can anyone give me the run down and help me out ?

    thanks,

    W50's are a big no-no. 55, 57 or 58 are all fine. 57 and 58 have slightly closer ratios. Obviously above that there's the steel-plate W58.

Where can you get a GOOD A to W adaptor from?
I can't recommend a good bellhousing, as the only ones i've ever dealt with were pretty interesting.

What flywheel do you use? i here the stock 4agze one is good and fits in the bell housing?
It depends on the bellhousing. Some will accomodate the 212mm flywheel, some won't.

    custom clutch?
Off the shelf ones are available from the right supplier brooooooooo

    te72 slave cylinder?
Usually yes, but depends on the housing

    custom tail shaft?
There's rumours circulating about using an RA60 front section and a TE72 rear, i'm not sure if there's any truth to it and it'd all depend on mounting, however it may work. The RA60 slip-yoke will obviously fit the W5x at any rate, so that's a start. Custom tailshafts are reasonably cheap anyway, so be pimp and have one made if you can't be bothered fucking with tape measures.

    custom gearbox mounts?
Can't help you here. Again i've heard something about RA60's. Someone is better informed than I.

You can have any brew you want... as long as it's a Datsun / Corolla / What is that?

Yeah, I'd agree with you there.

Buy this. It rules. you have to track him down though.

Or a niteparts one but site leads to nowhere.
. Them dudes have something to do with the bellhousings so try contacting them.
    Some dude said this:
"stock t50 fork, pivot, slave and starter..
all stock tranny to engine block side supports
    stock w58 release bearing
can use a GZE PP and disk but will need some grinding to clear instead, I went with a stock sized 200mm pp with a custom disk but the only thing you have to DIY with the Niteparts bell is the slave mount, it needs to be machined down and tapped for your slave cylinder."

Flywheel and slave depend on bellhousing. I think you can run a GZE flywheel in that bellhousing but I read that a long time ago. and if you use GZE fly. you can just use the whole clutch as E52/8 use the sams spline on input shaft as W5-.

Custom tailshaft - it's cheap enough to not waste your time looking through junk yards finding something that might not exist.
Crossmember will take you an afternoon to knock up at most. half an hour or so at best.

I used a W58. As above, 55, 57, and 58 will all work fine. The latter two are the boxes of choice though

I used (and recommend) the AZ-custom bellhousing adaptor. It's basically a chunk of alloy machined to match a standard 4A bellhousing to a W-series gearbox, made by AZ Custom in Tasmania. Downside of this particular option is that you can only use flywheel/clutch combos that fit within the T50 bellhousing, so i'm not sure if you can use your GZE stuff. The plus-side is there are no fitment problems unlike some of the bellhousings, and it's cheaper than most too (~$300)

The only 'custom' thing needed in regards to your clutch (for ANY 4A-W5X setup) is a different spline on the clutch plate. Business' like Xtreme etc will happily sell you a whole clutch with this already done (no extra charge) OR if you already have a clutch from your previous T50 that you are fond of, then any good clutch shop should be able to change the spline over for minimal cost (<$100)

TE72 slave: not for my setup, but entire bellhousings (like dellows, niteparts etc) may require them

Custom tail-shaft: Yeah, or get your standard one shortened with a different yoke, or do the RA front-half swap.

Custom gearbox mounts: I made a custom one, cause it was easy (and at the time i didnt know there was any other option), but i remember Ant (Kaizen Garage) mentioning that an auto(?) RA something crossmember works. I'd confirm that with him, i could easily be wrong.
