Default Ke70 4age conversion - Parts and Cost

    Car - ke70

    motor - 4kc

    use - daily

    problem - none

    occurs/started when -

    personal situation -

As I am going to put a 4age into my ke70 I thought it would be a good idea to set out a list of required parts and get an idea from members who have done this conversion before on how much each part costs. Once this list is completed I figure it will give some knowledge to other people trying to get an idea of parts involved with this conversion and maybe get moved to tech articles...

    Parts:
    4age - $500 - $1000
    Loom - $150
    Ecu - $50 - $100
    Exhaust manifold - $285
Intake manifold(get one cut and shut) - $150 or RWD intake manifold - $200
    T50 - $300
    A series Engine cross member - $50 - $100
    A series gearbox x member - $40
    AE71 pedal box - $250
AE71 or AE86 solid clutch line from master to slave, and rubber hose - $50
    AE71 or AE86 rubber engine mounts - $50
    AE71 or AE86 steel engine brackets - $50
AE71 or AE86 gearbox stays (link box to block) - $50
    AE71 radiator - ?
    or Excel radiator - $200
    AE71 tailshaft - $100
Fuel delivery ? (Not sure what is needed, fuel pump etc?)
Vl fuel pump, lines and clamps - $60

    So far approx $2300 - $2900

    Also:
    ae86 struts and brakes - $200
    ae86 steering arm - $200

If you have had any experience purchasing/selling any of these items please post how much you paid, and from where it was purchased(eg - private seller, wrecker, shop etc). Also too post if you bought these items as a package eg ae71 mounts/pedal box/xmembers. And if you have any advice on the most convenient(cost effective and easy to come by) method of obtaining these parts.

Also engines, whats the price difference from getting one from a jap import wrecker vs private seller. Is it easier/cheaper to try find a halfcut as it would come with loom&ecu or just source seperately?

Any information on prices, how to obtain anything as well as if I have missed anything please don't hesitate to share and I will be updating these as I receive information.

    Thanks for any help!

Whats wrong with just using an ae71 radiator?

Got most of the prices now, thanks.. If anyone would like to confirm/disagree with any of this, sorry not that I don't believe you guys but getting a few more peoples opinions would give more of an accurate price range as you said they tend to vary.

Any parts missed that would be required?

Parts change in price all the time - due to how many and when they are available.

i wouldnt take all these prices as gospel!

do what i did and when you see something buy it and do reasearch. there is a heap of these threads around.

do yourself a favour, and buy one that has been converted.

i spent not much change from 3000 doing my 4age conversion.

people are struggling to sell a 4age ke70 for more than 4000.
