Looks good so far. Might not need the cross bracing on the inside but on the thinnest section that you have made...that may cause a problem, as that will be the weakest point.
Try and make your cuts on the body reasonably straight otherwise when you go to make the new section you have done you end up with gaps that shouldn't be filled with weld. Make everything as flush as possible.
The one thing I can say with your welds would be to make them overlap more. You don't want to have those small pits in the centre of the welds. I haven't used a pulse MIG before but if it is like doing spot welds on top of each other to get the coin effect then make sure it arcs again before you lose the molten pool from the last weld. This would mean you get a stronger weld.

    Otherwise, keep it up dude.

Yeah I have made afew mistakes, have to do the top piece again. With the pulse welding I dont have the setting, just doing it manually, as you can get a hell of alot hotter with out blowing through. BUt the arc never actually stops but the wire feed does. so its less than a second before the next spot.

If you check out these welds he has gone from right to left using the pull technique he still has decent overlap. Try and achieve this and have the weld fill the join like making a gusset.
Check out this site, looks like it could help if your settings are a little off.

    Hope that helps.

Well, I had to fix the rail, I tried, I failed, I quit.

But nah seriously, I have started again, this time it is a shit load more simple, will be even lighter, and stronger.

I'm out of steel, and what I had left was shit, so didn't get much done, but I'll pick some up tomorrow and we will go from there.

There will be no more skinny bit in the front of the rail (where the castor rod mount should go), but no cool looking curvy bits, will pretty much be a long box.

Probably not, but it's not really something I can just do, and hope for the best.

I am not planning on changing it again, this is what I wanted to do, but I had to be a fidly prick and fuck around with it, which led to mistakes.
