if i didnt just get a new job then i would have offered to fly down and get that motivation going. if i was you i would put some sort of irs in the rear aye and you would be better to do it now rather then later. its my biggest regret. you are unlimited with the options you have when you put a irs in the back where as with your g series back end you have to go crazy just to get roll center adjustment.
i would imagine the mx5 rear would be on the limits of weakness wouldnt it, i have never seen one but have heard they arent very strong. one of the guys on oldschool.co.nz put a r34 irs in the back of his 1uz powered ta22 and it is holding up really well. i dont know many guys that have snaped a r34 axel.
i used evo 6 rear adjusties in my rear. could probably set them up with irs also without having to mod the mounting point, just a little bit around it
