    Default Camber tops

I just bought some coilovers and I need to know if I need camber tops to fit them or can I just use the stock plate thingy?
    Any help greatly appreciated.

    Thanks
    Jack

How much thread have you got at the top?, Most are quite short so you have to run camber tops with a shank nut. Got a pic of the coilovers?

yes you can use the standard strut tops with coilovers.
    they will work perfectly fine.
might even be worth sourcing some ke70 ones (fit the same) to give a little bit of extra castor if you are going to be running them for a while?

I ended up using the stock strut tops but I can't have it as low as I'd like because the spring gets loose. I'll have to buy some camber tops when I get paid.
    Thanks for the advice.

what do you mean by the spring gets loose?
as in they are not captive?

they shouldnt be loose due to your top hat selection. that will generally be due to the length of the springs you are using.
which can be fixed by getting some helper springs etc.

They are not captive. I have to have the height at the maximum to make sure they don't move about when it is fully extended. Perhaps I should get some helper springs as you've suggested. The springs are 180mm. I bought these from Dom86.

We may be able to strike up a deal. Let me know what you want for them.
