Ok I'm not very good at explaining stuff but here goes;
First of all take gearbox out and all that jazz (or alternatively pull the engine out, just as easy really)
Now the clutch and flywheel need to come off. Mark where the clutch is on the flywheel, and where the flywheel is on the crank.
Unbolt the rear main seal (6bolts?). This can be a prick if the studs are still in it, which will mean you have to drop the rear of the sump. Replace these studs with bolts while you're at it.
With hammer and some sort of punch, knock the old main seal out of its housing.
Install new one into the housing by tapping it in squarely with a SOFT hammer. Run a little bit of high temp grease around the inside lip.
Install everything in reverse of removal. Hopefully i havent missed anything
Good luck![]()

Not a great pic, but the dark blue circular seal around the crank is the main seal. May need to take off backing plate if you havent already
Undo the 6 bolts and undo the nuts holding the sump on until the sump bolt holes at the back clear the studs,
Then pry off the aluminium seal housing, flip it around, wack the old seal out, put new one in

I replaced mine about 2 months ago, i just used a screw driver & hammer to pop out the old one doesnt matter if you break it because your replacing it anyways.
I didnt seal it up, but i just lubed up the main seal (rubber ring thingy) with some oil and gently popped it into place with a rubber hammer.
Make sure you swing off the bolts when your putting your flywheel back on, you dont want that motherf*^%ker coming off.
when you're putting flywheel back on you should use lcok tight and a torque wrench as you can also overtighten bolts which stretches them and makes them weak
